It’s been two years since Reliance Jio stopped the free access to its network and started monetising its data packs. Over a period of two years, the company has been offering a lot of offers to its customers, mostly in the form of data benefits and recharge coupons. Last year, the company celebrated its first anniversary with a Celebration Pack and on the occasion of its second anniversary, the company brings back the Jio Celebration Pack with new benefits.
Reliance Jio is offering the Jio Celebration Pack without any cost to its subscribers. So far, a few Jio subscribers have reported receiving the pack automatically added to their data plan while many haven’t received the Celebration Pack so far. If you are unsure of whether you have received the Celebration Pack or not, you need to head over to the MyJio app on your smartphone and navigate to the My Plans section. If the app shows the Jio Celebration Pack on top of all the other activated plans, you are entitled to the benefits.
Benefits of Jio Celebration Pack
The Jio Celebration Pack is given away by Reliance Jio as a gesture of goodwill to celebrate its second anniversary. Hence, consumers don’t need to pay any additional charges for the plan. The Celebration Pack offers 2GB of data per day to Jio subscribers. However, the pack is only valid until March 17, 2019, which means you can only enjoy the benefits for up to three more days if the pack is activated now. Therefore, from today, one could get up to 6GB of data benefits until March 17.
The Celebration Pack doesn’t mention anything regarding voice calls and SMS. Therefore, the benefits regarding calls and messages from your plan currently activated on your number will be carried forward.
What to do if you haven’t received the Celebration Pack
In order to check whether you have received the Celebration Pack or not, you should head over to the MyJio app and head over to the My Plans section. If the Celebration Pack is not visible in the My Plans section, you will have to wait until you receive the benefit automatically. There’s currently no way through which one can activate the plan manually or register for the Celebration Pack.
