Govt of India has banned TikTok, the popular short video app which broke all records of popularity in India. More than 60 crore downloads of TikTok has happened in India alone, and overall, it has more than 200 crore users (2 billion). Around 11 crore active TikTok users are in India. Overall, 57 Chinese apps have been banned in India.
TikTok Banned in India :-
Ministry of Information Technology has released a notification, which states that Chinese apps such as TikTok and others are endangering India’s sovereignty and integrity, and stealing information, which is passed on to the Chinese servers.
To stop this, and to protect India, Govt has banned 57 Chinese apps.
